It all started in a hotel lobby

Like watching TV

A lobby in Beijing

When I was a girl in Beijing, I waited for the school bus every morning in the lobby of the Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center. For me it was like watching TV.

I watched the guests and I watched the team. That’s when I decided I wanted to work in hotels.

The photos from that time are in one of our family albums. You only see us in front of the building, but I remember the lobby much better.

From apprentice to founder

Later I did my apprenticeship at the Kempinski in Munich, then worked for Four Seasons in New York, Milan and Prague, and came to Switzerland.

In 2024 I founded NOUWORK. After many years in operations and leading sales and marketing teams, I know both sides: what guests are promised, and what it takes for a team to deliver it every day.

What culture means at NOUWORK

Inspire teams: teams keep the spirit that makes hospitality so special.

Translate values: young and experienced pull in the same direction. Everyone knows why they are here and where they make a difference.

Bring hospitality to life: the employee experience carries the guest experience.

Looking ahead

Building something of your own is not always easy, and I have learned so much along the way. I am really grateful for this path and looking forward to everything that is still to come.
