Grown in a World of Cultures: A path of global perspectives
For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to the magic of hospitality. Having grown up in Berlin, Cairo and Beijing, I experienced firsthand how different cultures express warmth and care, shaping my deep appreciation for the art of hospitality. Hotels were more than just a part of my surroundings—they shaped my childhood and sparked a lifelong passion. It was inevitable that this love would lead me into the world of hospitality. The travel bug was awakened.
The Modern Nomad: My journey through luxury hotels
With over 12 years of leadership experience in world-renowned luxury hotels like Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts (New York, Milan, Prague) and Baur au Lac in Zurich, I have gained a deep understanding of how culture and employee engagement are at the heart of every outstanding guest experience. As the former Director of Sales and Marketing at Baur au Lac, I am passionate about leveraging these insights to help organizations build strong, motivated teams that are aligned with their brand and strategy, making them fit for the future. Through NOUWORK, I bring this insight directly to luxury hotels, helping them transform from within.
Bridging Both Worlds: The journey from client to consultant
In 2023, I was part of the Employer Branding Initiative at Baur au Lac, where I played a strategic and marketing role in developing their brand as an employer of choice. This initiative allowed me to blend my expertise in employee engagement with effective communication strategies, improving both the internal culture and the guest experience. It was a pivotal moment that solidified the foundation of NOUWORK’s approach to transforming luxury hotels.
In Summer 2024, I began a collaboration with Christian Eckert, General Manager of THE OMNIA Mountain lodge in Zermatt and Hotelier of the Year 2023. Together, we revisited and upgraded the hotel's people strategy, implementing targeted marketing and communications to enhance its culture. Recognizing that true cultural transformation requires ongoing effort, we continue to collaborate, as Christian values the importance of evolving the hotel’s internal culture to retain and attract new talent, knowing that happy employees lead to happy guests.
